got this in the email, cool fun design for European shopping bag, great ad / brand building.
Thanks Mark for the tip
these cool moves and the style of the past 100 years.
“Beautiful, almost wistful video. I don’t want to criticise any of the fashions – they made sense at the time. But what the video shows me is just how much change the last 100 years have wrought – I bet a video showing 1811-1911 would hardly be as interesting to watch. I just wish some of the fashions could have hung around a little longer. They’re gone in an eyeblink – literally. Makes you wonder what the next 100 years will bring, and what people 100 years from now will make of this century.”
(And then on September 13 head to London for the grand opening of Westfield Stratford City shopping center, if you’re so inspired.) [via & Via]
The year was 1992 and the fashion world was full of buzz. Gianni Versace just did his bondage strapped collection, Jean Paul Gaultier was the bad boy of the day and Issey Miyake had just come out with the wrinkle pleated dresses.
Supermodels ruled the runway: the famous misquote of Linda Evangelista was,

singers George Michael and RuPaul wrote songs about them “Supermodel (You Better Work)” And there we were at the center of this fashion world - our 15 seconds of fame!!
I suppose if you were to compare it to present day it would be the equivalent of all the hype surrounding “Project Runway.” In that group of fashion designers, David Dixon and Joeffer Caoc are now added to the list of the elite.
Fun times!
so turn up the volume and travel down fashion memories lane…
Behind the scenes of Kylie Minogue’s “Get Outta My Way” video: one can hear the new interactive projections technique used in the video, the back-up dancers, wardrobe people and costumers.
The video’s inspiration is from the movie Paris Burning (an underground drag vogueing competition in NY, in which Madonna made her famous Vogue video in the 90s.)
